Frequently asked questions:
What does it works on?  Woody shrubs or bushes or brush, whichever term you prefer. Single trunk and multi-stems.   All woody shrubs?  No, most of them.  Specifically, ones with a shallow or spreading or fibrous root system.
Name some it works on;  The honeysuckle popper works on but is not limited to these:  Honeysuckles (of course), Privet, Buckthorn, Autumn Olive, Multi-flora rose, Burning Bush (winged euonimus), Holly, Forsythia, Yucca, and smaller evergreen shrubs.
What  doesn't it work on?  Trees.  They have tap roots.  Some woody bushes in dry or sandy regions and wet areas also have tap roots.  Just pull or dig a small one out.  If it has a tap root, forget about it.  If it has a shallow or fibrous root system, you're in luck.  All the popper needs is a solid 'bottom' for the tip to engage.
Will that wood platform break?  No. It is solidy attached to the steel brackets with bolts.
Many well meaning handymen, not understanding my life long toolmaking experience or the depth of research I've put into this ask:  Wouldn't a metal platform be better?   Even though metal is obviously more durable, the answer is:  No, the wood platform works better.  I designed the popper in the way that it works better, not looks better.  I tried a couple metal platforms and if a metal platform worked better, thats the way the tool would be made.  Trust me on this.  For details on why I use wood,

Will the handle bend?  No.  My unique, patented design where the solid alloy steel tip extends into and supports the thick walled structural steel tube prevents that.  The cost of these speciality steels is why this tool is expensive, and also why its about 20lbs lighter than a solid bar would be.   Its not indestructable though, you need to understand that it is designed to be a 'one man' tool.  If two men apply leverage under an unmovable stump, or if you slip a pipe on the end to gain more leverage, the handle will bend.  If you do not abuse this tool, it will last a lifetime.
Is it guaranteed?  Yes, completely, no limitations.
How big'a ones can I get out?  Since this is a lever tool, the size you can pop out depends mostly on how much you weigh, and partly on how strong you are.  The bushes do, of course,  get too big for anyone to pop out.  In general, everyone will be able to pop out bushes up to 5-8 years old, often with a single 'pop'.  Heavier, stronger folks up to 10-12 year olds, and once you gain some experience with the popper, even bigger ones. For a full explanation  CLICK HERE
Is it hard work using it? Generally speaking - yes, bushes are not easy to get out, but you can work at your own pace.  Smaller ones are easy, but as you work up in size, you will find yourself using considerable ammounts of energy to achieve success. Its not all bad though, some people might call it 'hard work', I call it 'great exercise'.  My videos show a good example of what it takes to use the popper.

Honeysuckle Popper Lite- $129

Honeysuckle Popper Lite; -

Honeysuckle Popper Lite;

11 pounds lighter than my full size popper, this tool works great on the smaller bushes up to 5-7 years old. (generally 4-8 ft tall)  It was designed for those of you that cannot handle the weight of the full size popper but would still like to participate.
I use both sizes in my woods and if you can afford both, and have a big patch, you will get your moneys worth.  Especially if you have a helper.  Sometimes the HD is overkill for the 2-5 year old ones and the lite comes in very handy.  One customer bought a popper for him, a Lite for his wife, and they work together on the same bush, enabling them to pop out even bigger ones.

Which one should you get?  I recommend the big one for anyone that feels they can handle a 28 pound tool.  It has a much wider range of bushes it works on.  If your patch is mostly young bushes, under 5 years old or so, or you are petite or elderly, the Lite would probably be better.  Speaking in general terms, and meaning no offense to you stronger ladies out there, I say the HD is the mans tool, the Lite is the Ladies tool.

Felco F600 Folding Saw -

Felco F600 Folding Saw

6" blade with 3 sided , hard-chromed, razor teeth. Blade is thinner on top & thicker on bottom to help prevent binding & clogging. Replaceable blade. Comfort grip handle.

A folding pruning saw like this one is the only other tool you need when popping honeysuckles.  Its a real time saver.  You mainly use it to saw off stubborn roots underground.  Saws with this type blade retain their cutting ability even if the tips are dulled by hitting against rocks.  I also use it to saw off a branch or two sometimes.

This tool works so good alongside The Popper that I decided to add it to my product line.

The Felco 600 is the best one I've used out of 4, so thats the one I'm selling.  It figures that it is also the most expensive one.  You can get cheaper ones that work ok, but the ergonomic grip and thicker 6" long blade makes this Felco a winner for our purpose.   Longer blades don't work as well for underground sawing.  Its a very solid tool, just like my popper.    This comes in the original box and I'm selling for the same or less as other places.
$25.00 includes shipping
NOTE:
I only sell this along with a Popper and its shipped in the popper box.
