A large amount of force is required to remove buckthorn and honeysuckle.
The 23 pound steel tube and tip assembly along with the unique pivoting platform will deliver the force and stability needed to pop them suckers right out of the ground.
The honeysuckle popper is not a wimpy weeding tool made out of cheap steel that bends easily. It has its own category; Shrub Remover. It is designed for hard, heavy-duty use and will not bend when used properly.
The critical design goals of The Honeysuckle Popper were to make a tool that would not bend, but still be light enough to carry in the field. If it bends, its useless and if its too heavy, its hard to use. I have accomplished this by using a special alloy, square steel tube with a square solid steel tip that extends into the tube. The tube and tip work in unison to provide strength and is a lot more resistant to bending than any spud bar. The high cost of the types of steel I use is why this tool is expensive.
This is a commercial grade tool designed for hard use and abuse. Every feature was designed with that in mind, and I guarantee you will be satisfied with the durability and strength.
I certainly am, I've popped out thousands of honeysuckle bushes, buckthorn, blackberries, autumn olive, etc., in over 5 years time with the same tool. Also, a lot of my customers are happy with it. CLICK HERE to read some customer comments.
Quality workmanship
I manufacture the parts myself in my garage that used to have our cars in it. (Thank You, honey! xox) I do everything but the powder coating and the steel brackets which I have done in a local shop. I make and inspect every tool as if I was making it for myself.
My 30 years in a toolmaking shop taught me what a quality tool is and that is what I present to you.
Extensively tested
I have popped out over 2000 honeysuckle bushes since 2004 using only this tool and my Felco 600 saw. I've been using the same tool for 5 years and its still in great shape. I'm a serious honeysuckle killer and if there was something better out there, I'd be using it.
